Jim has been
showing and breeding Bullmastiffs since 1978 and Sheila has been
showing and breeding Australian Shepherds since 1964. They have
shown and bred over 50 champions including National Specialty
and BIS winners. Having retired from professional handling in
1995, Jim and Sheila continued to exhibit their own dogs for the
next five years. In 2000 they applied and were approved to
judge various breeds for the American Kennel Club. Jim and
Sheila are two of the founding members of the United States
Australian Shepherd Association, Inc. and are also members of
the Australian Shepherd Club of America, Inc., American
Bullmastiff Association, Inc., Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore
and Golden Gate Kennel Club.
For Jim , the
past twenty-five years have included being an active
breeder/exhibitor and professional handler, as well as serving
as an officer for the American Bullmastiff Association, Inc. and
the United States Australian Shepherd Association, Inc. and is
now currently serving on the Board of Directors for the
Bullmastiffs of Northern California Club.
For the last
four decades, Sheila has actively been a breeder/exhibitor and
professional handler and was licensed by the Professional
Handlers Association in 1978. She has served on the Board of
Directors and the Judges Education Committee for the United
States Australian Shepherd Association, Inc.
In 2000 Jim and
Sheila applied and were approved to judge various breeds in the
Herding, Working, Sporting, and Hound Groups. They are now
currently residing in Martinez, California where they still own
and oversee a large boarding kennel.
